The University in 2030: Artificial Intelligence, a New Architecture of Teaching, and the Ethics of Responsibility in Higher Education

Abstract
The rapid development of artificial intelligence has moved higher education into a new phase of transformation, where the university is no longer viewed solely as an institution for knowledge transmission but as an intellectual, ethical, and digital ecosystem. The concept of the university in 2030 implies an educational environment in which AI is integrated into teaching, research, assessment, quality assurance, and institutional decision-making. However, as technological capabilities expand, a fundamental question emerges: who assumes responsibility - the human or the algorithm? This article aims to analyze the role of artificial intelligence in the transformation of higher education, define a new paradigm of responsibility, and propose a university model in which AI does not replace the academic subject but strengthens human intellectual, ethical, and creative potential. The study is based on a conceptual-analytical approach and draws on contemporary principles reflected in documents by UNESCO, OECD, the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act, and the World Economic Forum. The paper argues that the future of the university is not determined solely by technological innovation; its sustainability depends on human-centered governance, transparency, academic integrity, a clear framework for distributed responsibility, and a strong culture of quality.
